The Charter School of Educational Excellence in Yonkers will host a free Back to School Festival on Sunday, August 20, 2017. The event will be held at Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site, located at 29 Warburton Avenue, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., and will include games, activities for kids, face painting, food and music. Free backpacks also will be distributed to students ages 5 to 13.
"This is a great opportunity to connect with the community and provide Yonkers’ youngest residents with important health checks and school items necessary to start the 2017-2018 school year," said Kyetah Bryan of Affinity Health Plan.
