The Owl’s championship victory was led by the three 8th graders. Jose Ventura led the way with the bat tacking on two hits yesterday, Wednesday, June 1. Tyreese Williams added 7 stolen bases to his season total. And Tyler Roche shut down Dream Academy striking out 19 of 21 outs. The win yesterday brought CSEE its first championship. It was a great team effort capping off the undefeated season. Go Owls!
The Lady Owls Softball team also advanced in the First Round of the CSAA Playoffs yesterday, June 1, with a 17-3 domination of St. Hope Academy. Aniya Wright led off the game with a home run that might have touched the moon. Faith Aleman and Wynter Wright each bombed home runs of their own in the first inning as well. Chloe Tuck dazzled in the field making a few acrobatic catches and Destiny Medina’s pitched another strong game. The Lady Owls will now play in the CSAA Semi-Finals on Monday, June 6, afternoon against Girls Prep Bronx. Our Soccer team will also be advancing to the Quarter Finals as well. Go OWLS!!!
