On Tuesday November 19, 2013 CSEE celebrated Puerto Rico’s Independence-the day was filled with rich cultural activities for the children. There was a non-religious workshop about the Three Kings presented by Teresa Santiago, drumming and Art & Crafts with Judy and Elena Marrero, and a dance performance by Mai Reina Gold and Edgardo Gonzalez.

On Wednesday, November 13, 2013 CSEE held its annual Career Day. Presents came and shared their stories about their education experience, careers, and lessons learned along their career pathways. Goya Foods Helps to Educate Students on MyPlate & Healthy Eating

On Friday, November 15, 2013 Westchester’s District Attorney Joe Barca visits the Charter School of Educational Excellence. District Attorney Barca presented a workshop to the middle school students on internet safety, and cyber bullying.

CSEE Promotes Healthy Eating on Fox News!

Health and Physical Education Teachers, Mike DeSimone and Scott Fliesser, teamed up with Goya foods to promote healthy eating in schools across the nation. The link here will take you to Ernie Anastos’ Show, “Positively Ernie” that aired on December 23, 2012 on Fox 5. Students participated in a hands on health lesson and learned how to read food labels, serving sizes and differentiate “My Plate”.

Students engage in a variety of circus themed activities; juggling, balancing, etc.

K, 1st and 2nd Grade Apple Picking Trip
Students will learn about the fall harvest and the life cycle of an apple.

Fire Safety (K-4)
Students will learn the dangers of fire and practice how to evacuate a smoky room with the Yonkers Fire Department.
