good morning people in this community realize that this is a beacon of light for the children in this I have a passion for education and children and I felt this was an opportunity to do something meaningful for those children that would not be in serve I felt at that time in the public schools to create another choice for parents we have this love and this passion for knowing that these children can learn  we should each other and 12 this collaboration you know this magical thing happens where kids speak in Terraria and it take on you ideas in the seven you can you know that they happen Explorer before  so csee has actually a non-conventional curriculum we just use various methods and strategies to make sure that the students are not only getting a rigorous curriculum but also that they're engaged this is a great go to Vin like in 8th grade you can earn your high school credit through this science teacher Miss Garcia  does a mat what your background is if you don't have books in your house if you never had that support you can come into my classroom and I will teach you the content you will figure it out I don't care if we have to show you a video how far to show you different book if I have to make you act it out of have to make it to a drawing if I have to spell it out for you you have a military  just like everything in the world education change it every year there's constantly changes going on so this is a type of environment where we change with the times we don't just take the teaching in one method who are our surrounding areas here and see see are passing grade is an 80% and because we believe our students can of chick you want to give them something that they reach for I'm proud to say that fight 2014 this school was I'm on one of the tops the state has been designated or school we are one of 11 charter schools with that designation this year in the state of New York 295 charter school so we are among the top 11 charter schools in the state none of this way I've been without all of the stakeholders involved and we can see it in the success of our children what we do technology or letting up coding now not realizing that tomorrow you are going to be the creator of something you're going to be the inventor of something  we are inspired to have a lot of Innovation that I have the freedom to be as Innovative as I want to and still exceed student achievement why being held accountable for achievement  I found that I truly loved and Chinese students  I like teaching the students who need the extra help hear these teachers go that extra mile and because they go that extra mile the kids engaged they want to learn what they want to challenge themselves  can you tell the stairs that you know they're at school there with her coach teachers more than their words are family sometimes and it's very important that we have coaches and teachers that are there to you know teach them the important values that they're going to need you know some naked and that's level of life they hold them accountable with progress reports everyday ensure they get their homework done daily text to encourage them but the biggest part is holding them accountable singing to clear a misconception charter schools are public schools  they are schools that the public has supported and endorse to educate our kids in this community I just had a good feeling about it I came I visited she was lucky enough to get a slot here through the lottery  because everybody just walk in and say I want my child to come here goes after waiting for 2 years you would think sometimes will give up but they don't see them as our Future Leaders I see them as our future Harvard graduates and Yale graduates and Princeton graduates that's the way that I see them we have this little Joel here and I think every kid in America  neat add this type of education in this type of experience  you know it's not where you start it's where you finish and it's as continuous Improvement idea and esee under the leadership of audience Aveda and the rest of the board and the teachers there has just never stopped getting better and better better and that's just that's really the key
