Visitor's Procedures

While we cannot prevent each and every emergency, our pledge to parents is to keep you informed and current about our school safety procedures.

Keep in mind that these procedures are NOT intended to limit a parent's access to their child. Rather, these safety protocols are designed to make sure that staff knows at all times who is in the building and around our children.

Visitor's procedures are intended to ensure the security and safety of our children and staff.

Visitor’s Procedures

Parents can expect a simple, secure check-in process at a front-desk kiosk. The system is designed to provide greater security for students and staff by identifying all visitors entering the building. ID is required to enter the building and the instant screening is for the protection of students and staff with strict security controls in place to maintain privacy.

1. Upon arriving at the kiosk, you will be prompted to select your "Guest Type," such as
"Parent/Guardian," and then follow the on-screen instructions.

2. Scan your ID. You will be asked to consent to having your identification scanned. You'll
use the iPad's camera to take a picture of a valid, state-issued ID, like a driver's license.

3. Background screening. The system extracts your full name and date of birth from the ID
to automatically and instantly screen you against registered sex offender databases and,
depending on the school's settings, other criminal databases.

4. If a visitor is denied entry, a custom message will appear on the kiosk, such as: "Your
check-in has been declined. Please speak with the front office staff for assistance.

5. Automatic check-in for repeat visitors. After your first visit, the system can save your
information. For subsequent visits, you will only need to enter your contact information,
which expedites the process.

6. Print a visitor badge. The system prints a visitor badge that includes your name, photo,
and the date of the visit. You will wear this badge while on campus.

7. Data is not shared. All data captured and stored is unique to the school district using the
system. Your personal information will not be shared across different customers..
